Equipment and sensors

These are examples of the kind of equipment routinely supplied by the care centre. They can be fitted in any combination to suit customers’ requirements. Some devices can be fitted with timers where appropriate, perhaps to allow a customer to leave their bed for a few minutes without raising an alarm.
The care centre is continually searching the market place for new products and can provide many innovative solutions to meet customers’ unique requirements. Whatever your needs, or the needs of your loved ones, contact us to arrange an assessment and look forward to the peace of mind that Careline support can provide.

Base unitThe base unit is the heart of the system. Each unit contains a microphone and loudspeaker to enable communication with the care centre operator without the need to use a phone. It can be used alone or can have several monitors or alarms fed into it using a radio link to avoid messy wiring. |

Trigger unitTrigger units can be worn as a pendant, wristband or clipped to the customers clothing. Pushing the button will sound an alarm in the care centre and help will be summoned by an operator. Range will depend on the trigger make and house design, but, typically will cover most normal houses and gardens. |

Fall detectorSimilar to the trigger units, fall detectors can detect when a customer has fallen and then not risen again within a given time. An alarm will then be sounded in the care centre and help will be called. |

Smoke alarmOn detecting smoke, smoke alarms will cause an alarm to sound from the unit itself to alert the customer and also send a high priority alert to the care centre. On receipt of this alert the operator will attempt to contact the customer. If there is no response, or the fire is confirmed, the emergency services will be contacted. Similar products are available for detecting carbon monoxide and natural gas. |

Flood detectorFlood detectors are easily portable and can be placed wherever there is a risk of flooding such as bathrooms and kitchens. On detecting water, an alarm will sound to alert the customer and a message will be sent to the care centre where the operator will contact somebody to investigate. |

KeysafesKeysafes can be used to securely store house keys on the outside of a customer's house or flat. The combination can be held by carers and also in the care centre. In the event of an emergency the combination can be passed to the emergency services, who can then enter the property without having to make a forced entry. |
